On a recent visit to London, I noticed that the ‘Fourth Plinth’ in Trafalgar Square was covered in a large installation of ice cream with a cherry on top.
What was the inspiration behind this, I wondered?
It was to promote an exhibition of ‘The Beano’ at Somerset House.
I paid a visit. It was very well curated, explaining the origins and history of the comic and its characters, and there were many ways that children (young and old ) could interact with the displays.
I enjoyed the visit!
